Course of Specialization in Science Education “The Cells, the Genome, and you, Teacher”
The specialization course had two editions, from 2001 to 2003, and engaged researchers of the Regional Blood Center and USP in Ribeirão Preto, 80 elementary and high school teachers and over 400 students, from 63 schools of the region of Ribeirão Preto.
Teachers followed a program of updating classes that took place on Saturdays and during the weekdays, they gathered with the advisor’s team, participated in activities, attended to research laboratories, and developed activities at schools.
Specialization Course “Partnership in Science dissemination: a program of the House of Science of the Blood Center of Ribeirão Preto”
Distance learning specialization course, directed to teachers and journalists with a workload of 360 hours, 30% of it were on-site. The activities were developed by the moodle platform, based on the available material, produced in the 10 years of the House of Science of Regional Blood Center of Ribeirão Preto. Started on September 2009 and concluded on December 2010, the course corresponds to an opportunity of integrating teachers and journalists, the main responsible for science dissemination.
