The major focus of our group is to understand the molecular mechanisms involved in stem cell differentiation and cancer development. We are using cell biology and proteomic analysis to identify and characterize proteins and the role of their posttranslational modifications (phosphorylation and glycosylation) which are involved in biologic process such as cell proliferation, cell differentiation, cell death and cell intercommunication based on protein-protein interaction and carbohydrate-mediated interactions in mesenchymal stem cell and brain cancer.
