The Summer Curse which is in its 22th edition is offered annually to undergraduate students of the area of Biological Sciences (Medicine, Biology, Biomedicine, Biochemistry, Biotechnology and Chemical Engineering). Since the first edition, in 2002, about 3000 undergraduate students from different states have taken part in the course. Through theoretical classes and practice the students have the opportunity to know the several research fields of the Center for Cell-based Therapy: stem cells, biotechnology, virology, applied immunology, molecular cytogenetics, proteomics and gene expression. The objective of the course is to provide theoretical and practical basis for the interested in postgraduate programs in these areas.
